Venue Address
Monimail Tower, Monimail, by Letham, Cupar, Fife, KY15 7RJ.
Getting there
By Public transport – As I don’t know where you are coming from please use the Traveline Scotland website www.travelinescotland.com
The closest train station is Ladybank which has bus links to Letham. Please make sure you go to Letham in Fife, not Letham in Perth or the Letham in Angus!
Once you arrive in Letham get yourself to the bus stop at the top of the hill (there’s only 1 and your bus may stop here.) Follow the main road round a 90 degree bend to the left. This is Monimail Rd. Walk along here for 5-10 minutes, passing the church on your left.
When you see a small triangular green take the drive on your left marked North Lodge.
Turn immediately right between the trees into a cobbled car park.
This is Monimail Tower Project. There will be a blackboard showing you the way.
By Car – Find Letham in fife on a map and follow the directions above.
Course content and style
The course is about learning how to design sustainable habitats for people, crops, livestock and wildlife. This course is a shorter version of the 2 week course but will include the most important bits and a design project.
Participants on the course will:
* Understand what permaculture is.
* Gain a greater appreciation for natural habitats and how to find inspiration from them.
* Explore the three ethics of Earth Care, People Care and Fare Share.
* Learn and use a set of design tools and design principles.
* Gain experience of designing a sustainable habitat.
* Meet other like minded people with a diverse range of experience.
* Have fun. (subject to your input!)
* Stay on an amazing and diverse site.
The main teacher and diploma holder is James Chapman. There will also be other teachers during the course covering specialist areas.
There is space in the evenings to informally present anything from projects you are involved in.

Course fees
The course has a sliding scale from £200 to £360
£200 is aimed at anyone on a very low income. £360 is aimed at people on a good income or an organisation. This fee includes your food.
If you can afford the higher fee I can provide more subsidised places for those who need it most.
If you require one of these subsidised places please get in touch.
I earned under £5000 last year so please take this into consideration when deciding you are at the bottom of the price range.
